Booking open for members only until 1st March. Seating is limited so if places remain we will open bookings to non members on 2nd March.
\nFee: Members \u00a335. Non members \u00a345<\/p>\n

To attend our Study Day and save \u00a310 join the Katherine Swynford Society before the end of February to get the cost to members plus The Katherine Swynford Journal twice a year! Membership fees. \u00a38 p.a.for email members \u00a318 for postal \u00a324 for overseas.<\/p>\n

A report from our 2023 Study Day in Lincoln.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

What a fabulous day we had yesterday! Two excellent speakers and a great comedy play in the afternoon\u2026.perfect. The weather was glorious, though a little chilly in the Chapter House, and everyone had a great time. Lots of smiling happy faces.<\/p>\n

Jane Straker brought along a red kirtle she had made \u2013 it was beautiful \u2013 photos to come, plus several swatches for the audience to handle. Making fabric from the plants available and a large selection of herbs and plants for dyeing the spun and woven fabrics with the completed garments all viewed on an excellent PowerPoint presentation.<\/p>\n

Nathen Amin spoke at length on his Book \u2018The Beauforts\u2019 . Following his fascinating talk for the society in the Chapter House after happily posing for photos and generally chatting he went on to Lindum Books on Bailgate where he signed copies for many of our attendees who followed on in his wake\u2026.. The bookstore sold out of the entire stock!<\/p>\n

The comedy play in the afternoon written by Margaret Crompton and wonderfully performed by \u2018Script in hand\u2019 who all live locally was a perfect end to a perfect day. They perform for free and just request a donation to a charity of their choosing.<\/p>\n

Thank you to all our attendees for your very kind comments throughout the whole of the day. Looking forward already to the Study Day next year!<\/p>\n
