The Katherine Swynford Society Annual Study Day this year will take place on Saturday 11th May 2024 at a very special venue…… Three guest speakers.
Booking open for members only until 1st March. Seating is limited so if places remain we will open bookings to non members on 2nd March.
Fee: Members £35. Non members £45
To attend our Study Day and save £10 join the Katherine Swynford Society before the end of February to get the cost to members plus The Katherine Swynford Journal twice a year! Membership fees. £8 p.a.for email members £18 for postal £24 for overseas.

A report from our 2023 Study Day in Lincoln.
What a fabulous day we had yesterday! Two excellent speakers and a great comedy play in the afternoon….perfect. The weather was glorious, though a little chilly in the Chapter House, and everyone had a great time. Lots of smiling happy faces.
Jane Straker brought along a red kirtle she had made – it was beautiful – photos to come, plus several swatches for the audience to handle. Making fabric from the plants available and a large selection of herbs and plants for dyeing the spun and woven fabrics with the completed garments all viewed on an excellent PowerPoint presentation.
Nathen Amin spoke at length on his Book ‘The Beauforts’ . Following his fascinating talk for the society in the Chapter House after happily posing for photos and generally chatting he went on to Lindum Books on Bailgate where he signed copies for many of our attendees who followed on in his wake….. The bookstore sold out of the entire stock!
The comedy play in the afternoon written by Margaret Crompton and wonderfully performed by ‘Script in hand’ who all live locally was a perfect end to a perfect day. They perform for free and just request a donation to a charity of their choosing.
